A student-led cybersecurity club at GITAM University — running since 2020 with a single mission: make security education practical, inclusive, and genuinely useful.
Our Story
CYSEC was founded in 2020 at GITAM University by a small group of students who were frustrated by the gap between what was taught in classrooms and what the security industry actually demands.
We started with a handful of people and a shared Google Meet link. Since then we've grown to 500+ members across campuses, run 100+ technical sessions, and competed in over 30 CTF competitions nationally and internationally.
Our sessions cover everything from web exploitation and binary analysis to cryptography, OSINT, and reverse engineering — guided by members who've been there and done that.
Many of our alumni now work in security roles at leading companies. CYSEC is where that journey begins.
"Learn. Protect. Lead."
— CYSEC Mission Statement
What We Stand For
We believe in learning by doing. Every session involves real tools, real targets, and real techniques — not just slides.
No gatekeeping. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced hacker, there's a place for you at CYSEC.
From weekly meetups to national CTFs, we constantly push members to level up their skills and build a portfolio.
